Product Details

The theme material used for titanium butterfly valves is titanium, which is a highly chemically active metal. However, it exhibits particularly excellent corrosion resistance to many corrosive media. Titanium and oxygen have a good affinity and are easily reacted with oxygen to form a strong and dense passive oxide film on its surface. Titanium butterfly valves are almost non corrosive in the atmosphere, fresh water, seawater, and high-temperature steam.

Titanium butterfly valves are suitable for flow regulation. Due to the significant pressure loss of titanium butterfly valves in pipelines, which is about three times that of gate valves, when selecting titanium butterfly valves, the impact of pressure loss on the pipeline system should be fully considered, and the robustness of the butterfly plate to withstand the pressure of the pipeline medium when closed should also be considered. In addition, the selection of elastic valve seats must also consider the limitations of the working temperature that high-performance PTFE (graphite) composite plate sealing rings can withstand at high temperatures.

When selecting titanium valve materials, full consideration should be given to four aspects: the working temperature of the corrosive medium, the composition of the medium, the concentration of each component, and the water content.

Applications

Titanium and titanium alloys are highly chemically active metals that are non ferrous. Titanium materials have an oxide film, which provides good stability and self passivation ability in highly corrosive environments. Therefore, titanium valves can resist various harsh corrosion conditions. Titanium butterfly valves have advantages such as high performance, safety and reliability, and long service life. Widely used in the chlor alkali industry, soda ash industry, pharmaceutical industry, fertilizer industry, fine chemical industry, basic organic acid and inorganic salt manufacturing, as well as nitric acid industry and other fields.
